PTSD

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. It is important to note that not everyone who goes through a traumatic event will develop PTSD, but for those who do, it can have a significant impact on their daily lives. Individuals with PTSD may experience a range of symptoms including: intrusive thoughts/memories, avoidance, negative changes in thinking or mood and changes in how those individuals react to their surroundings.

There are many approaches to treating PTSD such as: medication management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These therapies aim to help individuals process and come to terms with their traumatic experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
