Conditions We Treat
OCD
Individuals with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) often have unwanted and intrusive thoughts that lead them to repeat certain behaviors, thoughts, or rituals. They might have fears about contamination, worries about symmetry or order, disturbing thoughts related to harm or violence, or excessive doubts about everyday tasks. These thoughts and behaviors can cause a lot of anxiety and distress. Often, those with OCD feel a strong urge to perform these actions to temporarily ease their anxiety.
Treating OCD typically involves a combination of medication and therapy. During this process, you’ll work on facing your fears and gradually reduce the time spent on the repetitive thoughts or behaviors associated with OCD. The goal is to help you feel more in control and less overwhelmed by these challenges.
