Conditions We Treat
Bipolar
Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition characterized by dramatic mood swings, which include episodes of extreme highs, known as mania or hypomania, and periods of intense lows, known as depression. These mood changes can affect a person’s energy levels, activity, and clarity of thought.
During mania, individuals may experience an elevated or irritable mood, increased self-esteem, decreased need for sleep, racing thoughts and engaging in risky behaviors. Hypomanic episodes are similar but less severe. On the other hand, depressive episodes can lead to feelings of sadness, emptiness, loss of interest in activities, changes in appetite or sleep, and even thoughts of self-harm or suicide. It is important to note that bipolar disorder varies in severity and can have differing patterns of mood episodes.
Treatment for bipolar disorder varies based on the severity of symptoms and individual needs. We offer personalized recommendations that may include medication, supplements, psychotherapy, or a combination of these approaches. Our goal is to tailor a treatment plan that best suits you and effectively manages your symptoms.
